One-Ingredient Fruit Roll-Up

My ONE-INGREDIENT FRUIT ROLL-UP is my easiest recipe! Try using your favorite fruit — no added-sugar, boiling or straining needed.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups cut fruit fresh or frozen

Instructions
 

  • Blend fruit until smooth and creamy.
  • Using an offset spatula, spread the fruit mixture on a silicone mat-lined 9"x13" baking tray. In order to ensure the fruit leather dehydrates evenly, the mixture should be as even as possible and about 1/4" thick.
  • Dehydrate at 117 degrees F for 6 hours, checking every 1-2 hours. Some recipes recommend 135 degrees F for 3 hours, but the best way to find the "sweet spot" is by starting the dehydration process at a low temperature and continuously checking on the fruit leather.
  • Once the fruit leather is pliable, but sturdy, cut a piece of parchment paper the size of the fruit leather. Stick the parchment paper to the bottom of the fruit leather (the side of the fruit leather touching the silicone mat is more sticky for the parchment paper to attach).
  • Using kitchen scissors, cut 5 even strips out of the fruit leather and roll up each strip.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to one week — if the delicious snack can even last that long!
