Super Seedy Crackers

The crackers that deserve a front-row seat on the shelves at Erewhon, but will live here for now. These crackers are super seedy, crunchy and satisfying with only six simple ingredients.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 2 hours
Servings 8 servings yield: 48 crackers


  • 1/2 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup + 2T pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup whole flaxseed
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cup lukewarm water
  • 1/2 – 1 tsp each seasoning: (I used onion powder, garlic powder, sea salt and black pepper)


  • Pre-heat oven to 200°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  • Line 2 large baking trays with parchment paper.
  • Spread the mixture out evenly on the sheet pan.
  • Bake for 2 hours, or until the cracker mixture feels dry. Depending on the humidity in the air, the crackers might need an additional 30 minutes.
  • Once out of the oven, let cool completely and then let your client’s children help you break apart the crackers (free labor). If the crackers don’t seem completely dry and crispy, bake for another 10-15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.
